A way to replace a missing tooth without altering the teeth beside it.
An implant is a small titanium post placed into the jawbone to take the place of a missing tooth root. Once the bone has healed around it, a crown is fitted on top. Because the implant stands on its own, the neighbouring teeth are left untouched — which is the main difference from a bridge. Implants are not suitable for everyone: they depend on having enough bone, healthy gums, and on conditions such as smoking and diabetes being managed. We assess this before recommending one.
A dental implant consists of a titanium post surgically placed into the jawbone, which acts as an artificial tooth root. Once healed, a custom crown is attached, creating a restoration that's virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth.

The crown is shaded to match the teeth around it
Needs the same brushing, flossing and check-ups as a natural tooth
Prevents jawbone deterioration after tooth loss
Smile, eat, and speak without worry
